They like me… They really like me : )

     In the past week, I have been nominated for 2 blogger awards… One of them twice : ) Since I am new to the world of blogging, this is a huge compliment! Blogging is one of the most nerve racking things I have ever done. It’s like leaving your journal open for random strangers to stroll through, and hoping they like you enough to come back and keep reading.

     At least 3 people liked me enough to not only come back for more, but to take the time to award me for it! So a HUGE thanks to Story of a Girl for the Versatile Blogger Award   …  

   And another HUGE thanks to Too Smart for Her Own Good and Martha Stewart Doesn't Live Here for the Sunshine Blogger Award   …  

     I have no idea where these awards started, and even more, I do not care! As a mom, you don’t get much recognition so I will take any kind of acknowledgement I can get : ) God knows we could all use a little ego boost now and again!

     The Versatile Blogger asks you for 7 random facts about yourself so here goes…

1.) I don’t like even numbers… unless it’s a multiple of three then it’s ok. Sadly, I’m so serious about this. I want to have one more baby because we are too even… I never said I was normal folks : )

2.) I LOVE to be naked…

3.) I like to eat cereal and chips at the same time… salty sweet or an old stoner craving, I don’t know, but it’s great : )

4.) I have never been in a physical fight, yet so many people think I would be good in a bar brawl…

5.) I like video games, and when my son goes to sleep, I play his games, and find all the hidden treasures!

6.) I LOVE music. I was a band geek, and music still flows through my veins. It’s gotten me through MANY rough times in my life, and I want my kids to have the same passion for it…

7.) Fat Dad and I complain about always having to watch cartoons, but it was usually what we watched before we had kids. We are Cartoon Network/Adult Swim nerds, and proud of it! I wanted to name JJ Lupin after my favorite anime at the time : )

Now, the Sunshine Award made my job much easier, and thought of the questions for me…

1.) What would you most like to change about yourself?

     I wish I was a morning person. I am trying to be one of those people who is up before my kids doing housework before the sun comes up. Instead, I am an insomniac who is up until crazy hours of the night blogging, pinning, and Facebook stalking. I love to sleep, and now that I have kids, I love it even more. Plus, I love snuggles in the morning so this is a hard life change, but JJ is starting preschool, and I need to get it together. I guess we will always have the weekends…

2.) What is your theme song?

     This was the hardest question on here for me! I love music of all kinds and so many songs fit a different time in my life so to narrow it down to just one seems almost like an injustice, but if I had to choose one to sum me up, I guess I’d have to pick “If it Makes You Happy” by Sheryl Crow… enjoy…

  

3.) One part of your life, a memory, action, etc. that you wish you could surgically remove from your brain?

     This one is hard for me. Not because I have not made more than my fair share of mistakes, but because each has taught me a valuable life lesson along the way.

4.) What generation do you wish you’d been a part of?

     First of all, I love my generation! We have lived life with and without technology’s advances, and are better off because of it. We used to play video games that didn’t save, and when you died you started the level over. Kids these days are so spoiled. With that being said, I’m a hippie at heart! The music, the love, the flowers in their dirty hair… Peace man, Peace : )

5.) What was your favorite childhood toy?

     Oh, I was such a tomboy… I loved GI Joe, and monster trucks, and He-man and Battle Cat were my imaginary friends. I also loved my Alphie, and was so excited when they brought them back out last year!

6.) What is your favorite household chore?

     Can one really have a favorite chore??? Isn’t that why it’s called a chore? Anyways, if I had to pick my favorite household chore, it would have to be mowing the lawn because it’s Fat Dad’s chore : )

7.) Do you twitter?

     I have a twitter account and I follow a few people, but I have never actually made a tweet! I am slightly confused by all the # and @’s, and I feel like my life is not exciting enough to tweet about. Maybe someday, but for now I will stick to Facebook!

8.) Any goals?

     My biggest goal right now is to be a work from home mom. I recently started a new business venture, and am hoping to replace my current job with it within the next year. Otherwise, my goal is always to be the best mom I can be to my babes.

9.) Do you really drink margaritas all the time?

     Absolutely not! I hate tequila… we stopped being friends many years ago! I am much more a beer and a shot of whiskey kind of girl! I guess I never really grew out of that tom boy phase : )

10.) What’s the ugliest car you’ve ever driven?

     I drove a white dodge spirit that barely made it from point a to point b let alone getting you there in any kind of style.
